“You’re late for breakfast, Granny.” I need to go early today, so hurry.” Aarvika dashes from the kitchen to the Hall, where she places the plate full of hot omelet on the table.
The project she’s working on is nearing completion, and the pressure is on her to polish and finish everything on time. If you look at her life from afar, it appears to be simple, but if you get to know her well, it appears to be challenging.
She has been living with her grandmother for the past seven years. Despite her mother’s wishes for her to live with them in the family, Aarvika is unable to accept this.
Because her previous trauma is still buried deep inside her heart, from which she is unable to recuperate, spending time with her grandmother is extremely beneficial to her in several ways.
“Oh pumpkin, our neighbor’s kids definitely would think that you are my granny and I am your granddaughter. Stop caring too much, that is my only job to do for you and I won’t appreciate you snatching it away from me.” Granny walks around making dramatic faces.
“I’m not, and please, if you had taken decent care of yourself, I wouldn’t have to behave like an 80-year-old in my twenties.” She serves a dish full of nutritious foods to the old lady.
“What do you mean, young lady?” Granny’s eyes quickly widened in response to her comment.
“What I mean is that it would be helpful to me if you would stick to your daily health routine instead of late-night chit-chats with your buddies.”
“Aww, let me tell you, he is the most wonderful gentleman I met last night...” Granny speaks about Jayson’s call with bright eyes and a cheerful tone in her voice.
“I believe he is! But I’m running late, so take care and let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you; I’ll see you tonight.” Aarvika flew out of the home in 2 minutes after blowing her a kiss.
Taking a deep breath Aarvika walks into her manager’s office “Good morning, Dean…”
“I don’t think anything is good with this morning” Dean leans back on his chair giving her nothing but a troubled look.
“Ohh and why is that so?” Aarvika arcs her one eyebrow.
“We need a best selling story, Aarvika. It’s been a year, how much more time do you need?” Dean commands disappointedly.
“I am already working on a project and also trying my best for a new story. I have even approached many celebrities to work on their autobiography, Just waiting for one of them to approve.” She defends herself.
“I don’t care, write a new story, change your approach strategy. All I care about is a good story on my plate.” Dean makes it clear firmly.
“Sure, May I leave now?” Aarvika asks frustratingly.
“Yes,” Dean responds, getting back to his laptop screen.
Aarvika walks back to her cabin and gets back to her work. Throughout the day, she sets several meetings and calls regarding work. These past months have been hectic for her.
How much time it could get for someone to just approve an approach she doesn’t understand. The arrogance of these celebrities is one thing she hates the most.
“Hey Pumpkin, What’s up?” Her phone beeps with granny’s message notification.
“Not now granny, I am busy, see you at dinner” Aarvika replies blatantly.
“That’s very rude, I haven’t taught you that” Granny texts back.
“I am sorry, just feeling stuck here, I am really busy. Please can we chat later, if there is no emergency?” Aarvika apologized.
“Ohh pumpkin, I’ll wait for you. Love you, XOXO.” Receiving grannies text Aarvika smiles and feels a bit relaxed.
“I want a big holiday, faraway from here, from all this chaos” Aarvika talks to herself and gets back to her work.
“Aarvika look at this…” Josh walks into her cabin placing his laptop on her table.
“Please, tell me it’s something good and helpful, or else get out of my cabin” Aarvika warns him.
“Oh babe, It is indeed.” Josh assured making himself comfortable on the chair and showing her the screen.
“First, I am not your babe, & a global concert trip?” Aarvika is confused and looks at Josh.
“Yes, and the good news is they are looking for someone to join them in this trip to work on the autobiography of the lead singer” Josh shared excitedly.
“A trip, No no no… what kind of demand is that? We can work on the story after their trip also.” Aarvika get’s up from her chair disappointedly.
“Of Course we can, but why not to be on the trip. I mean they will bear all expenses, all you have to do is join them and work on the story.
It’s simple you do your work plus roam around the new places and they will do their work and get the story published, it’s a win-win for both parties.” Josh tries to clear her vision.
“No, I can’t leave granny alone. Plus you haven’t told me the artist name yet” Aarvika Questions back.
“Now that’s the interesting part, he is an A-lister singer of industry, JAYSON SONI.” Josh says showing his image on screen but Aarvika turns around lost in her thoughts.
“Okay, did they confirm our deal?” Aarvika asks shutting the laptop screen down showing zero interest in the picture.
“Hmmm, well not yet, I have approached them last week but no replies yet. Hoping for the best” Josh crosses his fingers and Aarvika rolls her eyes.
“Then come to me when the deal is sealed. You may leave now.” Aarvika tells him, and Josh walks out with a node.
“Huh, a world tour. Seriously, what is he even thinking about? No matter how badly I want this deal to be sealed, I am not leaving granny alone here.” Aarvika thinks while drinking a glass of water.
